May be God cannot save from murders n issues in name of religion, but surely humans can; by using the brain and mind God gave to us’! The amazing thing about this book is I’ve never had the feeling of reading a fiction. There is an obvious flaw to Priscilla’s character, a flaw that does not resonate with me in the least.

I read this book and finally decided that a career in the Public Services was not for me. Perhaps it’s where we’re meant to be. From Priscilla’s letters and diaries, we get a tahroor of the classic American sensibility, a la Daisy Miller that mix of naivete and sexual experience so puzzling to the rest of the world.
In Riotthe well-meaning precocious or is it precious? Tharoor is really a gem in Indian literature. Every Indian has to read this novel. Paperbackpages. Thoroughly relished the read.
Liked it because of its balanced account. Recommended for both public and academic libraries.
